Barranco del lobo Trip is a historical trip to the Korko Mountains in Nador. This trip combines the historical remnants of the Spanish colonization of the countryside, such as castles, barracks, and battles, with the natural remnants of plateaus and plains.
This trip was named Barranco lobo after the famous battle of Ravin-Aux-Loups is a military episode that occurred near Melilla on July 27, 1909 during which the Spanish troops were defeated by the Rif resistance organized by the Iqer’iyen (Qelaya) tribe.
This battle is considered, with that of Anoual in 1921, to be the bloodiest defeat suffered in Africa by the Spanish army.
